General Information
A relay is an electrical control device that can be given a defined input quantity and held long enough to cause a predetermined step change in the controlled quantity in the electrical output circuit. When the input quantity is reduced to a certain level and held for a long enough time, it returns to its initial state.
Relays are automatic switching elements with isolated functions and are widely used in remote control, telemetry, communication, automatic control, mechatronics and power electronics, and are one of the most important control elements.
